For more than 40 years, Vermont Odyssey of the Mind has celebrated the creativity of young people across Vermont. The 2024 State Tournament will be held on March 16, 2024 at Champlain Valley Union High School, Hinesburg, Vermont. Thank you for volunteering to participate in our State Tournament, and for genorously giving your time to support this wonderful creative program. Lesley Adams, Vermont Association Director & Stephanie Fournier, State Tournament Director Volunteer Judge/Official Important Information: By agreeing to be Volunteer Judge/Official, you affirm that you are 18 years old or older and understand that you must attend a Volunteer Judge/Official Training Session. If you are less than 18 years of age, please ensure you provide details of your age, and describe your connection to and experience with Odyssey of the Mind. Once you are registered, you will be assigned to a Volunteer Judge/Official team. Your team position is dependant on the needs of our State Porblem Captains and Tournament Director. You will be sent an email confirming your team position, and provied with all relevant details relating to date and time of your training session. Volunteer Problem Judge training is coordinated by the Vermont Association Director and conducted by the State Problem Captains. Volunteer Official Training is coordianted by and conducted by the State Tournament Director. Training sessions generally run from 9:00am-1:00pm, but we will send additional details once these are finalized. Once trained, you are committed to your team position since a replacement cannot be found on short notice and be trained in time. The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Champlain Valley Union High School, Hinesburg, Vermont. Depending on our final Tournament Schedule, Volunteer Judge/Official duties may begin as early as 8:00 AM and may continue as late as 5:00 PM. While we do provide light refreshments and water for our volunteers, we encourage you to bring a bagged lunch and any other refreshments you may wish to have for the day.
